The main reason behind such widespread use of Windows OS according to me, is very user friendly user interface, very large range of supportive products and applications and ease of use. It is the easiest operating system to use available today. You can perform many of the tedious tasks with only few clicks and without knowledge of command line commands. If you are efficient user of mouse you can do most of things in Windows operating system. So if you are beginner then Windows OS is best option for you; other than Mac OS.
